earlier in the year, I did some science exams. Today, I got the results.

Additional science module 1 (B4 C4 P4), 48/50, A*

I'm happy with that.

#100 - Dinner party in a field.

At 6 o'clock.. we met in the field. Admittedly, I was a little late, as were hazel, laura and catherine. But that's not my fault - Catherine's shoes set off the alarms in somerfield, where we were buying our roast chickens.
The guest list

• Me. Quite obviously, the most important one there.
• Hazel Guppy/Gemmima. She is awesome.
• Catherine Barkley/Luke Geneva. She is also awesome.
• Laura Simpson/Saura Limpson/Jenack Jram. She amuses me.
• Beckyyy. She can't carve chickens. It's fine.
• Ollie/Cheryl. He can carve chickens. He just didn't tell us that till the end.
• Louise. She can carve chickens slightly better than Becky can.
• Shanz. He ran away for about 20 minutes, but he came back so it's fine.

The food

• Two somerfield roast chickens. They were half price, so it's fine.
• 6 deli wraps.
• One french stick
• Mayonnaise. I don't know why.
• Radish. Yay Radish.
• Tomatoes.
• Doritos - Lightly salted and Tangy cheese.
• Mr. Kipling angel slices.

We managed to steal some cutlery from marks and spencers - I say steal, it was supposed to be free, only it was supposed to be free when you're actually buying something, not just to random people from the street. They didn't say that though, so it's fine. I had an interesting assortment of chairs - four wooden ones from my patio ("It's a retard chair! it's andrew, in wood form!"), one fold-up cow chair from my room, one old wood and metal fold up chair (that kept falling over, I should know, I sat on it), and a backpack stool (it's a backpack AND a stool. Wow.) - If you count that, then count the guest list, you will realise that we had 7 chairs, and 8 people. we also had 7 plates, cups, forks.. But it was fine, 'cause laura sat on the floor and, let's face it, wraps make good plates anyways. Becky was sat at the head of the (fold up, briefcase-like) table, so insisted that she must carve the chicken:

and obviously, she did so very well:

The mayonnaise was mistaken for dips for the doritos, but I managed to explain that it was mayonnaise before anyone decided to test the "dips" theory.
Oh, and cheryl's wrap fell on the floor.. but that just made me laugh.

#99 - the birthday card.

Catherine, Hazel and Myself created a series of birthday cards for our lovely friend caitlin. It started with catherine's card, in which pete wentz and ryan ross both declared their love for caitlin.. then it was my card, containing this image:
Yes, that is caitlin in their thought bubble. Finally, Hazel's card will show the ending to the caitlin wars saga. I don't know who will win.. I don't think anyone knows who will win.

#97 - Fritters on.. monday - Frijj

I am a yazoo person, you can blame cheryl for that. So today, I thought I would try frijj. Cheryl's description of it was: "it's retard yeast. it tastes like someone ate a load of yeast, then spat it into a bottle and blended it with some strawberries."
After that description, I was not particularly looking forward to trying frijj. However, it would be an all new thing, and thus I did try it. And cheryl's description was basically exactly right.. except I couldn't taste the strawberries.

Go and buy some yazoo instead. But not chocolate yazoo.. never chocolate yazoo. That will be all.

the pineapple tasted a bit funny, but that was not so much my fault as it was the fact that it was a bit old. ah well, I'm still proud of me for not cutting my finger off.

#95 - Pokemon convention!

I liked pokemon when it originally was popular. The thing is, at the time I was about 7. I mean, I was pretty obsessed.. but I was 7. So it was not really a big deal for me. It's not like I would actually go somewhere, just for pokemon. I had a couple of gameboy games, sure, and I had a couple of hundred pokemon cards (oh dear, that's quite a lot actually), but I'd never been to a pokemon convention before. And that's where all new year comes in.. the pokemon summer day camp, toys-r-us cardiff, 18th August 2007. The whole aim of the day was to get a free mew download (for those of you who don't know, mew is a pokemon). I was invited - half-jokingly - by haz, who was going with rhys and rhys's friend, jack. Somehow, I think that none of them actually expected me to come, I mean, I don't actually LIKE pokemon.. nor do I have any pokemon games.. or know anything about pokemon whatsoever. But I could not turn down an all new thing opportunity such as this, oh no.

After an interesting car journey from caldicot, during which a small child was staring at me (it would seem that small children, medium sized children and in fact large children find me quite interesting), we arrived at toys r us to see a large queue. the first person that I noticed was a girl dressed in a home-made pokemon costume - a green thing with a large red spike on her chest. I was quite terrified. after quite a long time of queueing, at one point in the wrong queue, we finally reached the 'trainer cards'. We had to fill out our Name, age, trainer name (for which I put "monkey", I don't know what I was supposed to put..) and challenge completed (I left that one blank, it's fine.)

then we had a pokemon related quiz to complete. I left two of the answers blank, although I COULD have written banana and tom, in hindsight. I also had to fill out some personal details, e-mail address etc.. then we were told to go and collect our pokemon goodie bags. after about 10 minutes of searching the store (we took a nice photo in the high school musical section, 'cause we're cool like that) we eventually found a man handing out the goodie bags. we followed him around without saying anything for a couple of minutes - I don't really know why - and then we asked about the goodie bags. they contained: stickers, posters, a booklet of some sort and a school timetable that we can fill in next year. Jack and rhys attempted to download a second mew - they failed.

all in all, the pokemon convention was okay. We didn't get a chance to play "pokemon battle revolution" on Wii, nor did we have our faces painted. however, we did see this guy:



I thought he was dressed as a dead christmas tree with balloons on his head... but that's just me. anyway, he made it all worthwile.

at the moment, I have a bright red forehead and a dark blue towel around my shoulders. In 7 minutes or so, however, I will supposedly have red/purple hair. somehow I doubt this, but it could be interesting to find out. wish me luck, updates as soon as I get photos.

#92 - create a bebo skin

now, there were several large flaws in this plan:
- bebo tells you to use photoshop, I only have paint shop pro.
- I have no graphics skills whatsoever

and all of this means that any bebo skin I should create would be absolute rubbish. so I didn't really try too hard. I'm not going to link you to it, it's too shameful.

but I still created one, and that's all that matters, isn't it?

#91 - eat a whole guiseppe's pizza

guiseppe's are the pepperoni pizzas they sell in morrisons that are not necessarily for weaklings like me. they are quite spicy.. fine until about halfway through, when suddenly the mouth starts to burn. thus, I have never attempted to eat a whole one of these pizzas. however, since I had not yet done a new thing, I have decided that it would be a good idea.

well, it would be an idea.

I managed to finish the pizza, just about.. but I don't think I'll be having another one in a hurry.

#90 - tour of all the parks of monmouth

myself and laura/saura/jenack jram decided to go on a tour of every park in monmouth.
The best park is obviously the newest built park, on the "new estate".. very imaginative.. followed by the one with the rocket.

to be fair, I don't know the names of these areas. I just know how to get there.

there are photos of our parkish adventures on my bebo (which has now been made public, huzzahhh), so take a look

today, I got a bebo saying onto the "what's everyone saying?" list, by convincing 8 of my friends (I may have hacked 3 of the profiles but shhh) to have the saying "not all potatoes can swim."
after that, 6 people clicked "me too".. which means that 6 people are quite possibly stranger than I am...

I got 48 profile views in that one day. the next day I got 2.

windows live messenger = video calls. I thought I'd try it.

I like the whole hearing-the-tone-of-voice thing, but the amount of setting up microphones and webcams that it takes is a bit offputting. It's quite good that you can carry on the conversation without having the msn window open, too.. although it could become quite irritating permanently having a voice in your ear : )

but then, I fell off my chair.

#83 - cutlery adventures - update.

today, I re-visited the cutlery men, and will now give you a full report:

Cutlery man 1 - Bridges community center, drybridge park:
Missing. seriously, we looked everywhere. He was nowhere to be found. I'd like to assume he's in a better place.

Cutlery men 2, 3 & 4 - seesaw, chippie:
Found. In the bloody bin. They were in the BIN! It took me an hour to make them.. and they're in the bin. some people saw me and tish taking photos of them in the bin. Made me laugh :)

#82 - Fritters on.. Sunday : ) - Cadbury's "double choc" & Organic lemonade.

First up: Old-fashioned organic lemonade.. certified as organic by the soil association! huzzah!
actually tasted really good.. it was 59p for a can in waitrose, so it's not too expensive either (20p more than a can of coke, but waitrose is cheap for cans anyway). It was less bitter than you'd normally get in an old fashioned lemonade, but more lemony than a 'pop' sort of lemonade (which basically is just sugar anyway, if I'm being honest.) I'd definitely recommend it. seriously.

Now, cadbury's double choc. This has been in shops for a little while and I've always been curious as to how they can make their chocolate.. double as chocolatey. It would seem that they cannot, because double choc is basically cadbury's dairy milk, but with "chocolate-flavour sauce" inside. Wouldn't that mean that, with it being only "chocolate flavour", it is technically less chocolatey? Should it not be called three-quarters choc instead?
It's a lot messier to eat than the normal dairy milk, and the chocolate flavour sauce is quite syntheticy, I think. So really it's probably better to just buy dairy milk anyway. It wasn't bad - I'm quite sure that I will never find a chocolate product that I consider 'bad' in my life, however the coming fritters on fridays (which will actually be on friday.. the shock!) may well prove me wrong - but it wasn't exactly good. try it, make up your own minds on it..

#80 - busking

busking!
we went busking, like, for real.
now, as a bit of backstory, I have NO musical talent whatsoever.. I don't really know why my friends invited me to come, if I'm being honest..
so, we went to ross-on-wye, that popular busking hotspot ¬¬ ... and we set up next to a wall. we had a guitarist (hazel) and two singers (we were deliberately being quiet though). The closest we came to anyone giving us money was when a person yelled out of his car window 'do you sing as well?'. In fact, at one point, people were actually laughing at us. Pointing.. and laughing. seriously.. although that could have been because one of them saw catherine putting money into the hat herself (she's such a moose)
by the end of it, supposedly, hazel's fingers were burning (She put them on my arm just to prove it, it actually did hurt).. so we just gave up.

I actually can't believe I'd never had this before. It is, quite literally, one of the best drinks ever.

Yazoo, a drink made with skimmed milk, comes in banana, chocolate, strawberry.. and I think vanilla, but don't quote me on it. It comes in different sizes - but according to cheryl, the only way to go is a one litre bottle of strawberry.
